Piano Tuition:
 Private one on one tuition is available in half hour sessions at the cost of £12.50 per session.

Students are welcome to learn just for the sheer enjoyment of learning the piano or for examination preparation as desired. Valerie offers examination preparation and entry for all the major examination boards, ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), Trinity Guildhall and LCM (London College of Music) as well as the smaller, independant boards, VCM (Victoria College of Music) and NCM (National College of Music).

 

Duet Lessons.
Duet lessons are also available and are charged at the same rate as one on one.

Piano Accompaniment Services & Pricing.

Valerie is also available as an accompanist in the fylde area. Prices are as follows;

  • Grades 1 - 3  £10.00
  • Grades 4 - 5  £12.50
  • Grades 6 - 7  £15.00
  • Grades 8 - + £20.00
  • Diplomas. - P.O.A

Discounts are available for teachers wishing to book accompaniment for several students.


These rates are for accompaniment on the exam day only. Rehearsals are charged at the standard rate of £12.50 per half hour.  It is recommended that you have at least one rehearsal with Valerie before the exam.  Students who live outside of the fylde area are welcome but fees may differ from above.

Aural Training.
Valerie offers one off , no commitment aural training sessions for students who feel they need a little extra help before an examination or audition. 
Rates are £12.50 per half hour. 

Music Theory lessons.
Valerie offers music theory lessons, with our without exam preparation for students.  As well as a piano specific teaching diploma (DipABRSM) and a piano performance diploma (DipLCM) Valerie has Grades 5 - 8 in music theory too.(ABRSM).  Valeries own students all learn music theory alongside their instrumental lessons and Valerie has an impressive 100% exam pass rate with most students gaining Merit or Distinction in their theory exams.
